On behalf of their client, a major aerospace and defence company, Manning Global Group is currently looking for a: Senior Expert Certification Specialist
Task description
- Applying knowledge of systems design and architecture, operational procedures, hazard identification and safety compliance certification to identify and help mitigate certification and safety risk throughout the life cycle of safety-critical products.
- Planning, conducting, and documenting system developments to enable system certification.
- Supervise the planning of the safety program and safety analysis, setting safety requirements, including integrity targets.
- Involvement in the resolution of technical issues adversely affecting the safe performance of systems.
- Determining test results effects on reliability, maintainability, and safety analyses.
- Within the CE_s responsibility, define and manage the activities certification/ qualification for new designs as well as design changes.
- Validate compliance documents; approve minor modifications, major repairs and Service Bulletins.
- Define and coordinate certification/qualification work packages with the CE_s /DPMs.
- Animate the Airworthiness chain to ensure the compliance of the design with the applicable airworthiness regulations as well as the specified and/or contractual performance requirements.
- Obtain cost effective certification/qualification in due time.
- Liaise with the Civil and Military Airworthiness authorities.
- As an Airworthiness expert, provide recommendations and advice in airworthiness matters and contribute to the development of the airworthiness expertise within the Airworthiness chain.
- Report Certification/Qualification status to the Chief Engineer.
Required qualifications:
- Degree in engineering, physical sciences, or mathematics.
- At least 10 years of system engineering and certification (civil) experience with aircraft, or aircraft systems. The candidate must have experience working in both a development and an operational environment.
- Applicants should be capable of understanding and analysing digital avionics processing functions, architectures and all safety aspects.
- Experience conducting system safety analysis, including FMEA/FMECA, fault tree analysis, hazard analysis, common cause/risk/mode analysis, and safety assessments on complex hardware and software is required.
- Very familiarity with SAE ARP-4761, SAE ARP-4754, ESA Part 25, DO 178B, DO254, etc.
